CCCU Teaches Financial Literacy at Girls Group Event[LAS VEGAS, Nev.] September 18, 2025 – Clark County Credit Union (CCCU) proudly hosted The GIRLS Group financial literacy event on Saturday, September 13, 2025, providing young women in the community with valuable tools to build a strong financial future. The GIRLS Group’s mission is to generate inner respect, love and self-empowerment in women and teen girls that are, or have been, in dysfunctional and/or disadvantaged lifestyles through a positive, productive and beneficial environment. The interactive session focused on budgeting, saving, and preparing for long-term goals such as education. Creson Oakley, CCCU’s Business Development and Financial Education Specialist and Branch Manager Desiree Borders led the presentation and hands-on activities designed to help participants understand how to manage money wisely and make informed financial decisions. “Events like this are about more than numbers - they’re about empowerment,” said Oakley. “By equipping these young women with the knowledge and confidence to manage their finances, we’re helping them take meaningful steps toward achieving their future goals.” The GIRLS Group event is part of CCCU’s ongoing commitment to financial education and community engagement, ensuring that students and young adults have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
