This year marks the Fifth Annual ONE DAY, ONE SIUE Celebration, and we are excited to celebrate with the entire SIUE Community. We are so excited to honor Lisa Spencer, RN, FACHE, BSN '93, MSN '01, a double alumna and President of Anderson Hospital, as our Distinguished Community Leader this year.
We are expecting over 500+ alumni and friends to attend this year's event which will feature Hot Air Balloons*, Food & Drinks*, and LIVE music by the Charles Glenn Group Band, featuring the legendary voice of the St. Louis Blues’ National Anthem for 19 years.

Lisa Spencer, RN, FACHE, BSN ’93, MSN ’01, President of Anderson Hospital
We are proud to honor Lisa Spencer, RN, FACHE, BSN ’93, MSN ’01, a double SIUE alumna and President of Anderson Hospital. Spencer has served at Anderson Hospital since 1998 and was named President in 2024. Under her leadership, a transformative partnership between SIUE’s School of Nursing and Anderson Healthcare was launched—strengthening nursing education and addressing critical workforce needs across our region. Lisa describes the collaboration as a full-circle moment, reflecting a shared commitment to preparing the next generation of nurses through innovative, hands-on learning and teamwork.
ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT
Dr. Kendall Spicer '21 & Dr. Hannah Spicer '23
Kendall and his wife, Hannah, both earned their doctorates in Pharmacy from SIUE and are actively practicing as pharmacists. In addition to his work in healthcare, Kendall is a certified hot air balloon pilot. He and his father, Todd Spicer, will be bringing their balloons to SIUE for One Day, One SIUE: Soaring to New Heights!
