Prescription Drug Take Back Day
Description
Through a partnership with the Adair County Health Department, NEMO DFC, TSU Health Science students, and Adair County Sheriff's office the National DEA Prescription Medication Take Back Day gives community members the opportunity to safely dispose of unused, unwanted, or expired prescription medications. The goal is to reduce the risk of medication misuse, accidental poisonings, and environmental contamination.
The event centers around secure drop box locations, where people can bring their medications for proper disposal. It’s designed to be free, confidential, and easy to access, helping protect both public health and the community.
