This initiative pairs trained AmeriCorps mentors with students to enhance reading skills, build confidence, and foster a love of learning in schools across Northern Nevada. Additionally, United Way supports early childhood education through the Nevada Ready! The Pre-K program provides critical assistance during emergencies through the SAFE Program, which helps families with essential needs such as utilities. The organization's impact includes distributing over 8,000 children's books yearly, providing early intervention in reading and math to 1,000 kids, and raising $250,000 to aid families affected by the Davis Fire.
