NuVista Federal Credit Union has proudly served its members since 1964, when it was founded as Montrose Federal Credit Union. Built on the values of honesty, integrity, and self worth, the organization has grown alongside the communities it serves while remaining dedicated to those same guiding principles. Originally created to serve federal employees, the credit union expanded its reach as community support grew, officially becoming NuVista Federal Credit Union on January 1, 2008 to reflect its broader membership and regional impact.

Locally owned by its members, NuVista offers a unique cooperative structure where every member who opens an account with a $25 share becomes a part owner with a voice in the services and products offered. Membership is open to individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in Montrose, Delta, Gunnison, Ouray, and San Miguel counties. Focused on empowering communities and promoting financial well being, NuVista provides trusted savings and lending solutions while helping members move confidently toward financial freedom, with deposits federally insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration.
