Conveniently near Crested Butte and Taylor Park, we are the only permitted OHV guiding service in the Gunnison National Forest and also hold a Bureau of Land Management guiding permit. Our guides bring over a decade of expertise in the history, geography, and biology of the Gunnison Valley, ensuring every tour is engaging, safe, and educational. Guests can explore further than by foot, bicycle, or horseback, enjoying comfort and accessibility while discovering wildflowers, historic mining ruins, waterfalls, high alpine lakes, and more.

Founded in 2020 by owner and lead guide Jeremy “JJ” Johndrow, JJ’s Jeeps was born from a lifelong passion for off-roading, nature, and Colorado’s public lands. With degrees in Business and Outdoor Recreation and years of guiding experience, JJ turned his vision into reality, creating the Gunnison Valley’s premier 4×4 tour operation. Despite launching during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, JJ’s Jeeps has continued to grow, offering more guides, vehicles, and custom adventures each year. Our mission is to provide fun, safe, and educational 4×4 tours while minimizing environmental impact and promoting responsible trail use.
